Mike and Brenda started Push Pin Travel Maps 10 years ago from their garage, and successfully scaled the business as a husband and wife team, by simply sharing their passion for adventure with other travelers. Mike used to be a developer, so he could manage the site, but fixing web performance for their Shopify store was proving to be a tough challenge. He knew Core Web Vitals needed attention, especially with Google's update in the summer of 2021, so he sought our expertise to fix the issue quickly that way they could focus on creating and selling beautiful maps.
After installing Render Better, plus some manual optimizations, we cut load times for the first pieces of content (FCP) and largest pieces of content (LCP) significantly for both mobile and desktop, resulting in 100% of their URLs in the "good" range for Google Search Console's Core Web Vitals. This means users are now able to see and interact with their beautiful maps on the site faster, leading to a better shopping experience and more sales. In addition, now that all their URLs pass the Core Web Vitals assessment, Push Pin Travel Maps has maxed out the web performance ranking benefit from Google's latest updates.
Mike and Brenda are a husband and wife team, based out of Denver, CO, who have taken countless trips around the world to beautiful places including: Tanzania, Santorini, Amalfi Coast, and more! When they struggled to find the perfect push pin map to track their adventures in 2012, they decided to create their own. After receiving numerous compliments on their map from family and friends, they started Push Pin Travel Maps to share with other travelers.
