After seeing some of our impressive results for other clients in the Shopify Plus Community Facebook Group, Printfresh reached out for us to optimize their site as well. Leo Voloshin, Co-Founder and CEO of Printfresh, had tried some other solutions before but wasn’t pleased with the results. Printfresh grew rapidly since its inception in 2016, which was really great for the company, but resulted in some technical debt along the way. Additionally, their site is focused entirely around beautiful and unique designs in all shapes and sizes, so there are a lot of images and variables needed to sell their products. It was crucial that we optimize their site for speed, without compromising on its beautiful design.
Holiday sales were just around the corner, so we moved quickly to deploy Render Better in early November 2021. However, this was one of the largest sites we've worked on with a lot of rich features, content, and moving parts as their team geared up for big campaigns, so we had to be careful. Thankfully, we've worked on numerous Shopify and Shopify Plus sites from small to 8 figures, which helped us design Render Better to be out of the way as much as possible, while still greatly improving performance metrics.
Load times were already decent for Printfresh, but Render Better still managed to shave off nearly 50% on mobile and 20% on desktop, which is especially important with such a visual content heavy site. These optimizations made a significant improvement to user experience and maxed out their web performance ranking benefits by pushing all URLs well into the green. As Printfresh continues to scale quickly, they can rest assured that all users, no matter what device or where they come from, will have a snappy and smooth experience that's sure to please.
Printfresh started back in 2006 as Printfresh Studio, when Amy Voloshin was designing prints for the fashion industry. In 2016, she took the leap to start her own lifestyle brand with the help of her husband and CEO, Leo Voloshin. Together, with their two children, and rescue chihuahua named Meemo, they've grown Printfresh into a nationally recognized sleepwear brand, with unique and whimsical collections released monthly.
